Chuck sings his arrangement of the great Dickey Betts' tune Rain with the short-lived but amazing collection of Southern musicians known collectively as BHLT (Betts, Jimmy Hall, Chuck Leavell and Butch Trucks), which rose from the ashes of the Allman Brothers. While the band toured briefly and had plans to record, the project sadly dissolved after a short period. There are several live audio recordings but this is the only known full-show filming of what was the beginnings of yet another great Southern band.
In an intimate evening set in the historic Douglass Theatre in Macon, Georgia on Dec. 3, 2004. Chuck Leavell performs the songs and relives the stories that reflect 30 years of making music. The show was also a benefit for the Big House Foundation & Allman Brothers Band Museum in Macon.
